On March 15, 2023, we held an event introducing stakeholders to our new statewide initiative, Mission 1477. To read more about Mission 1477, click here.
This event not only acted as a way for us to inform supporters and partners about our new program, but it also existed as a platform that amplified our “Community” value.
In YEBO, Community is nourishment through relationships. Our stories build strong, healthy connections between people to create respect and collaboration. Our March 15 event exemplified this idea of community.
For one, we hosted this event at Raices, a brewery that is Latino-owned and serves a selection of Latin American cerveza and foods and hosts cultural events. Like YEBO, Racies dedicates itself to supporting programming that serves the community.
We also had an array of partners attend the event, from our veteran partners at Colorado Public Radio to newer partners like CIRCLE and long-time supportive partners like CYC. They were all generous in giving their time and support and showing excitement about our new initiative!
Lastly, we shared important news about our new home. We relocated our headquarters to Green Spaces in Five Points, where we get to be in community with Black and Blossomed, the Green Age, and It’s a Bodega, among others.
This event reminded the YEBOfam that it takes a village to nourish a new thought, idea, or initiative. As you can see, there are many links to learn more about our community partners, so check them out!
